I'm not sure if you have the same problem but this is what happened to me. 2004 - 2008 Ford F150 - 5.4L Triton Spark Plug Stuck - I'll start by saying I was unaware of the issues with the plugs until I was at 132k miles, and I had already bought the new plugs. I've been careful to not break any, but I'm having trouble removing 1 of them.

The only thing that connects to the valve cover is the PCV hose.
